ABOUT
Hi, I’m Lucy. I am a software engineer, composer, and artist located in Seattle, WA. I enjoy listening to music, jamming on my synthesizers, going for walks, and writing code.
For Employers
For a quick overview of my work experience, education history, and projects, please see my CV.
I have ~1 professional YoE working with the following technologies and languages:
- Java, incl. Spring
- Python
- SQL & RDBMS
- Apache Kafka
- Terraform & IaC
- Docker, Virtualization, & Containerization
- Kubernetes
- Git, VCS, & CI/CD
- AWS & Cloud Service Providers
I’ve put these skill to practice by building and maintaining observable, maintainable, and highly-available distributed systems. I’ve worked on data-intensive, microservice-based architectures, utilizing both REST API and event-driven paradigms. I’ve also implemented and supported batch-processing workflows.
Outside of professional environments, I enjoy writing CLI programs and web services in Go, C, and OCaml. I’ve also invested time learning, operating, and managing Linux and Unix-like systems.
I take pride in writing correct, performant, extensible, and maintainable software. I enjoy collaborating with others to build the best software possible.
I’m interested in opportunities to enhance developer, artist, designer, and user experience through fast, quality, configurable, and user-friendly tooling.
For Peers
I’m very into the fuzzy intersection of net-art, politics, and culture. My work in software, art, and music often explores this space, either intentionally or inadvertently. I believe that we can learn about ourselves and our situation by architecting systems that imitate systems we observe.
Are you an artist interested in collaboration? Do you have questions about the setup of this server or any of my services? Reach out to me! I can be reached through my social contacts. For software inquiries, contact me by opening an issue on the proper GitHub repository.
